Edge highlighting paints a deliberate fine line of lighter color along a part’s raised edges, simulating the way hard corners catch light. It is the signature look of well-painted tabletop miniatures — crisp, comic-bright, readable at arm’s length.
The trick is using the side of a good brush’s tip, thin paint, and two light passes rather than one heavy one. Where dry brushing is fast and rough, edge highlighting is slow and surgical.
