What we collect
- Analytics. We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which guides help people. This records aggregate, non-identifying data such as pages viewed and rough region — never your name.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store the email you provide to send our letter. Unsubscribe anytime with the link in any email, and we remove you.
- Contact form. If you write to us, we keep your message and email to reply and to track corrections.
- Orders. Shop purchases are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). Your card details go to them, not us; we receive only what’s needed to fulfill and support your order.
Affiliate links & cookies
Some outbound gear links are affiliate links. When you click one, the retailer may set a cookie that credits us for a resulting purchase — at no extra cost to you. We set a first-party cookie to attribute that click; it stores no personal information. See our editorial standards for the full disclosure.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell your personal data. We don’t run invasive ad networks. We don’t email you unless you asked us to.
